My Mystical Creatures started to come to me in the Fall of 2017 during a difficult transitional time in my life. They are now part of an ever-present creativity surge and are continuing to unveil themselves in such fun and imaginative ways. Each one has a story to tell and I’m listening. Cosmic Cows were born through the inspiration of my brother. He was a dairy farmer for 45 years and recently retired. I was able to see first hand the struggles that a small dairy farmer faces while being caretakers of the beautiful dairy cows.

On my last visit to the Farm, I shared my Mystical Creature paintings with him and he asked me “why aren’t you painting cows?” So I came home and painted my first Cosmic Cow in honor of my brother and all global small dairy farmers. Then, Cosmic Cow #2 came and now I am inspired to continue to paint these lovely Cosmic Cows (I’m now painting #4). I will be donating part of the proceeds from my Cosmic Cow art sales to help the Cows and their caretakers.

I have painted Magical Boxes for many years now. They have been the outlet for my creativity before I started painting on canvases. I love painting Magical Boxes for people. I tune into who they are and paint from my heart holding that person in my painting process so they receive a box that resonates with them. Sometimes I include crystals and totems to augment the custom painting. I finally found some good solid wood boxes that are made in America. They are the perfect box for treasured Oracle Cards.
